Meaning: The Scattering Winds
Total Ayahs: 60
Place of Revelation: Mecca
This Surah begins with oaths by natural phenomena, affirming the truth of Resurrection and divine punishment. It narrates stories of past prophets (like Ibrahim, Musa, and Nuh) and their people, emphasizing divine justice.
Allah’s promises are true. The disbelievers will face consequences, while the righteous will be rewarded.
Reciting it increases reliance on Allah’s provision. The Prophet (PBUH) mentioned its blessings in seeking sustenance (Tirmidhi).
I did not create jinn and mankind except to worship Me.'
Indeed, Allah is the Provider, the Firm Possessor of Strength.'
Worship is the purpose of creation. Divine justice is absolute.
