This Surah was revealed after the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, foretelling future victories for Muslims. It highlights Allah’s forgiveness, the importance of faith, and the Prophet’s (PBUH) high status. It also warns hypocrites and reassures believers of divine support.
Allah grants decisive victories to His believers. True faith leads to success in this life and the Hereafter.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: 'A Surah has been revealed to me tonight which is dearer to me than all the world' (Bukhari, Muslim). It is recited for seeking victory, peace, and blessings.
Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory.'
- 'It is He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers...'
- 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah...'
Patience and trust in Allah lead to success. The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was a strategic victory.
