Surah Al-Haqqah opens with the declaration of the inevitable Day of Judgment and warns those who scoff at its coming. It narrates the annihilation of Aad, Thamud, and Pharaoh for their obstinacy. The earth will quake, mountains crumble, and all will be uprooted. Each person will be judged according to deeds—righteous receive records in their right hand, the wicked in their left. The surah emphasizes the Quran’s divine origin, dismissing claims of poetry or sorcery.
The Resurrection is certain—miraculous prior examples and vivid depictions confirm it. The divine message cannot be refuted by ignoring it.
Its recitation strengthens belief in the Hereafter, instills humility, warns against arrogance, motivates righteousness, helps guard against neglect of duties, and serves as a spiritual wake-up call.
69:1–3 emphasizing the infallibility of the Judgment Day.
