Meaning: The Human
Total Ayahs: 31
Place of Revelation: Medina
Surah Al-Insan begins by reminding humans of their humble origin from a drop, then outlines humanity’s choices: ingratitude and Hell, or patience and Paradise. It highlights the generosity of the righteous—feeding the poor, orphans, prisoners—despite their own need, purely for Allah’s pleasure. It encourages patience, prayer, gratitude, and recognition that only Allah determines salvation.
True humanity is defined by gratitude, patience, empathy, and selflessness. Spiritual worth comes from noble action, not material status, and all outcomes rest with Allah.
Reciting it deepens empathy, encourages social kindness, strengthens gratitude, supports resilience, and inspires reflection on divine mercy and power.
76:2–3 – Testing through gratitude or ingratitude; 76:5–22 – Descriptions of selfless charity by the righteous.
Choose generosity over selfishness, endure hardship with virtue, and trust in Allah’s decree while fulfilling moral duty.
