Meaning: The Kneeling
Total Ayahs: 37
Place of Revelation: Mecca
Surah Al-Jathiyah describes Judgment Day when all will kneel before Allah. It refutes materialist worldviews by highlighting signs in nature's cycles and human history. The Surah particularly condemns those who follow conjecture over divine revelation and warns that every nation's record is fully preserved for accountability.
Universal submission to Allah is inevitable. Nature's precision disproves randomness. Divine records ensure perfect justice.
The Prophet (PBUH) referenced it against atheistic arguments. Its recitation strengthens conviction in resurrection. Scholars use it in debates on intelligent design.
- 'He has subjected for you whatever is in the heavens and earth...'
- 'Have you seen he who takes his desire as his god?'
- 'So to Allah belongs all praise—Lord of the heavens and earth...'
Creation's complexity demands a Creator. Desire-based religions lead to ruin. Universal praise belongs to Allah alone.
