Meaning: The Enshrouded One
Total Ayahs: 20
Place of Revelation: Mecca
Surah Al-Muzzammil addresses the Prophet ﷺ directly—‘Enshrouded one’—embedding empathy as he wraps himself after intense revelation experiences. He is lovingly commanded to stand in Tahajjud (night prayer), recite the Quran patiently, and prepare for the weighty burden of Prophethood. The Surah balances devotion with practicality, easing obligatory worship over time. It concludes by urging believers to pray, give charity, seek forgiveness, and entrust Allah with their affairs.
Spiritual growth begins with personal devotion and evolves into mission readiness. The balance between worship, worldly duties, and compassion reflects divine mercy.
Recitation nurtures deeper night worship (Tahajjud), strengthens reliance on Allah, cultivates patience under adversity, purifies the heart, and supports spiritual resilience in carrying life’s responsibilities.
73:2–4 – Instructions for night prayer; 73:20 – Ease in worship and call to give a ‘good loan’ to Allah.
Commit to disciplined devotion, embrace mercy in worship obligations, and balance spiritual and worldly life.
