Surah An-Naml begins with the Quran's divine nature as a clear guidance. It narrates the stories of Prophet Musa (Moses) and the burning bush, Prophet Sulayman (Solomon) and the Queen of Sheba, and the destruction of Thamud. The Surah emphasizes Allah's omnipotence, the inevitability of the Hereafter, and the Quran's role as a warner to humanity. It concludes by affirming the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) truthfulness and the consequences of denial.
Allah's signs are evident in creation and history. Arrogance leads to ruin, while humility and faith lead to salvation. The Quran is a decisive revelation, and resurrection is certain.
The Prophet (PBUH) highlighted this Surah's lessons on gratitude and recognizing Allah's signs. Reciting it is said to protect against harmful creatures (like snakes/scorpions) by Allah's will. Scholars note its emphasis on wisdom in leadership (e.g., Sulayman's story).
It is from Solomon, and it begins: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.'
- 'Who responds to the distressed when they call upon Him?'
- 'Say: Praise be to Allah! He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them...'
Allah’s power transcends human limitations. True leaders seek wisdom, not power. Gratitude and faith unlock divine blessings.
