Meaning: The Fig
Total Ayahs: 8
Place of Revelation: Mecca
Surah At-Tin begins with oaths by the fig, olive, Mount Sinai, and this secure city (Mecca). It asserts that Allah created humans at their best state, but they degenerate if they deny the truth and live ungratefully. The surah ends by proclaiming that the righteous will have everlasting reward, while the faithless and wrongdoers will face retribution.
Human potential is noble and divine endowment; misuse of this gift through denial leads to degeneracy. Redemption is earned by faith and justice.
Reciting At-Tin deepens appreciation of innate human dignity, sharpens consciousness of moral decline, reinforces purpose-driven life, and highlights the hope in redemption and reward.
95:4–6 – “Indeed, We created man in the best of stature, then We return him to the lowest of the low…”
Honor your divine origin by choosing justice and faith; avoid falling into heedlessness.
