Meaning: The Gold Adornments

Total Ayahs: 89

Place of Revelation: Mecca

Summary

Surah Az-Zukhruf critiques materialism by exposing the fallacy of judging truth by worldly wealth ('gold adornments'). It recounts Prophet Ibrahim's rejection of ancestral idolatry and contrasts the fleeting luxury of disbelievers (like Pharaoh) with the eternal rewards of believers. The Surah concludes with Isa (Jesus) affirming his servitude to Allah.

Core Message

Wealth cannot validate falsehood. Ancestral traditions must align with truth. Prophets uniformly rejected materialism.
