Total Ayahs: 4
Place of Revelation: Mecca
Surah Quraish reminds the people of Quraish about the blessings they enjoy—safe journeys during winter and summer for trade, and the security of the Ka‘bah. Allah urges them to worship the Lord of this House, who fed them in hunger and gave them safety from fear. It connects worldly security and prosperity with gratitude and servitude to Allah.
Gratitude for Allah’s blessings must be expressed through worship and reliance on Him alone.
Reciting this Surah fosters gratitude, increases contentment, and serves as a reminder of divine provisions and safety. It’s also recited to seek protection while traveling.
106:3–4 – 'Let them worship the Lord of this House... Who has fed them and secured them from fear.'
Prosperity should not lead to arrogance but to grateful worship.
